All Employment Exchanges of Assam are under the Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training (DECT), Assam, Rehabari, Guwahati-08 which is under the administrative control of Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department (SEED), Govt. of Assam. DECT implementing National Employment Service (NES) Scheme through the network of Employment Exchanges for the benefit of unemployed and Vocational Training Scheme for the benefit of youth for getting employment or self-employment in accordance with the standards and norms prescribed by the Directorate General of Employment (DGE), Ministry of Labour & Employment (MoLE), Government of India.
