1. OFFICE DETAILS : Brief Overview of the Office / location etc.

The Office of the Deputy Director of Economics and Statistics, Nagaon is under technical control of the Directorate of Economics and Statistics (DES) and under administrative control of Transformation and Development Department, Government of Assam. It is located at Nortom Gaon, Pub Amolapatty, M.M. Road, near Sivasthan, Nagaon, Assam. The DDES office was set up in the year 1984 to collect, collate and compilation of Statistical data for preparation of various plan for the welfare of the district. The primary function of the office is to assist the Head Office in data collection, conducting census and surveys. District Hand Book, District at a Glance, District Socio Economic Review is three important publications published by the district for focusing the socio Economic scenario of the district.

            The District level office is empowered to collect information regarding functions and activities as well as the status of implementation of various developmental works executed by the line department.
