EVENTS : Precisely two events i.e Republic Day and Independence Day celebrated in Central Jail Nagaon apart from other events such as International yoga Day, Different kinds of awareness programs, Health Camps etc.

Welfare Activities
At regular intervals Yoga Training sessions held at Central Jail Nagaon. Inmates take active participation in these sessions in huge numbers and ripping benefits of this ancient fitness form.
There is a Legal Aid Cell in Central Jail Nagaon operated by District Legal Service Authority, Nagaon District. Here the poor inmates who cannot afford to engage a lawyer on his own to defend his case get absolutely free legal service.
A Medical unit having capacity of 10 nos of bed is inside the jail for Inmates.
Illiterate Inmates gets an opportunity to learn the basic education in the Jail School which in turn makes a huge difference in their future life.
A Library is there in side the Central Jail, Nagaon where interested inmates can engage themselves with the books available there of different topics. The number of books get boosted very recently with an addition of another 500 books given by Art of Living Foundation.
On 25.07.2018 Rural Development and Self Employment Training Institute (RUDSET), Nagaon has initiated the training for making of jute products amongst the inmates of Central Jail Nagaon. This Programme Continued till 30-7-2018.
For the benefit of all the Inmates different kinds of health check-up camps organized at different times of a year.
