The Office of the Assistant Commissioner of Taxes, Nagaon being revenue office collects Govt. revenue under different Acts. The major Acts being administered by the office are Assam GST Act,2017 Assam Value Added Tax Act,2003 CST Act 1956, Assam Professional Trade and Calling & Employment Taxation Act,1947, Assam Electricity Duty (Amendment) Act 2018 and Assam Taxation on (Specified Land) Act 1990.

                        One of the important task is registration of tax payer under different Acts as mentioned above.

                        This office also undertakes vigilance activities in order to detect the tax evasion under different Act administered by this office.
