The main vision of the Tourism department, Government of Assam is to make Assam an all seasons Tourist destination. The district level Officers of tourism department (TIO) is to create awareness amongst the people about tourism and to disseminate information about tourist destination of the district. The TIOs to provide all assistance, services and information to the tourists about the tourism resources of the district.

The function of the Tourist Information Officer, Nagaon to disseminate information about Tourist destination of the district and to collect Tourist’s statistical data from different Tourist destination/ Hotels etc. of the district. The T I O attends the District development Committee meeting monthly and participate in any events organized by district administration.

1.  Tourist Lodge (New Building) at Nagaon.

2.  Works at Kuthori/Kaziranga  (Manas-Pobitora-Nameri- Kaziranga-Dibru saikhowa wildlife circuit in Assam under Swadesh Darshan Scheme.
