Project Implementation Committees

There are Sub-Divisional Development Boards as Project Implementation Committees for SC/ST/OBC/Tea & Ex-Tea Garden Tribes & Minorities people. All Boards are formed by the Ruling Government through the selected members of respective Communities.
- TERMS OF REFERENCES:
The terms of references of Sub-Divisional Development Board, Nagaon are :
- To identify the Schemes for development having relevance to the people of respective Communities in their areas and send the Schemes for consideration by the State Government.
- To approve the list of beneficiaries areas and institutions to be benefited under the Schemes.
- To approve the list of beneficiaries areas and institutions to be benefited under the Schemes.
- To ensure progress of implementation and proper utilization of Schemes/Grants of the SCSP/TSP etc. Schemes in their respective Communities Development areas.
- To review the Schemes and give suggestions on the same to the State Government.
- Any other matters that may be assigned to the Committee by the Advisory Council for Welfare of the people and also by the Government of Assam.
- The Board shall seat for at-least 3 (three) times in a financial year & the terms of the Board shall be 3 (three) years.
- The Board will monitor the implementation of the Schemes and report to the Govt. through the SDWO, Nagaon.
The Governor of Assam is pleased to order that any one of the member present may preside over the meeting in absence of the Chairman on being unanimously agreed upon and one third of the total members of the Board shall form quorum for holding a meeting.
