Celebration of Bijli Mahotsav at Sonajuri No 2, in Nagaon
A part of celebrating 75th years of India's Independence under the aegis of Amrit Mohotsav, the Ministry of Power in association with Govt. of Assam organized a ‘Bijli Mahotsav’ at Sonajuri No 2, in Nagaon district of Assam on 29th of July’2022. Shri KeshabMahanta, Hon,ble Minister Health & Family Welfare, Science and Technology graced the occasion as Chief Guest. SDPO Kaliabor Mrinmoy Das, APS, AGM of APDCL Manirul Islam and Circle officer of Kaliabor Rev. Circle Nitisha Bora also attended the event. The event saw large turnouts of crowds from nearby villages and districts. The Chief Guest highlighted the benefits of electricity and the unprecedented growth shown the power sector over the past few years. The event also witnessed several beneficiaries sharing their experiences. An awareness play on Use and reservation of electricity was also staged in the event.
