Brief Introduction

1. Social Forestry deals with plantation outside the traditional forest area.. It's aims are:

     Creation of Nurseries for raising quality seedlings

     Creation of block plantation in degraded areas of RF and other vacant land like railway land, block plantation on Road sides

     Creation of Avenue plantation

     Creation of medicinal and aromatic plants garden, recreational parks etc.

     To generate awareness amongst public by observing Vanamahotsava, World Environment Day etc

     Providing employment to locals by involving them in Nursery and plantation
